As a GSW Dual Enrollment student, your transition to becoming a Beginning Freshman is simple and streamlined. You’ve already completed college-level coursework—now take the next step with Georgia Southwestern.

Complete the Dual Enrollment to Beginning Freshman Application by January 15 to have both application and orientation fees waived! For incoming Fall students only.

Priority Scholarships

Receive priority scholarship consideration after completing the GSW Scholarship Application online by February 1st (must be eligible to apply).

Guaranteed Housing

Complete your housing application by January 15 to secure your preferred housing type listed on your application.

Residence Life

Early Access

Students completing the Dual Enrollment to Beginning Freshman process receive early Storm Day registration.

Submit Your Application

Complete the . Application fee is waived.

Request Your Official Transcripts

Request these from your counseling office to be sent to GSW. We accept mailed or e-transcripts, such as  that come directly from the high school, Parchment, or eScrip-Safe. You may bring them to campus in person, as long as they remain in the original, sealed envelope from the school.

Official Testing Scores

Optional - We encourage you to send all scores from all tests taken including SAT, ACT, and ACCUPLACER tests. Please use SAT Code: 5250 and/or ACT code: 0824. Students may to take the ACCUPLACER.

Homeschool Students

Homeschool students must submit a Homeschool Packet that includes a Declaration of Intent and detailed course descriptions.

We will send a variety of emails to notify you of your acceptance and allow accepted students the opportunity to register early and other exclusive offerings.

Visit GSW

As a previous GSW Dual Enrollment student, you may or may not have visited campus. If you would like to visit and see what your life at Georgia Southwestern would look like, here are some campus visit benefits: 

  • Free GSW T-Shirt
  • Additional GSW swag for attending a
  • $1,000 scholarship drawing for Dual Enrollment students who visit campus by May 1st and enroll in the upcoming Fall semester. Live drawing will be held on May 1st through @gswadmissions Instagram. Any campus visit qualifies.  

After Acceptance to Georgia Southwestern

Once a student is accepted, there are a few items needed to complete the Beginning Freshman process.

  • Submit your $45 acceptance deposit to reserve your place in our upcoming class.
  • Submit your  to Financial Aid.
  • Complete the  before the February 1st deadline.
  • Sign up to attend Storm Registration Day
  • You should already have a CanesNet account, which is a set of credentials used to authenticate a variety of IT systems across campus. If you need help resetting that, please contact techsupp@gsw.edu.
  • Submit your immunization record to the GSW Health Center.
  • Read and submit the Financial Agreement Authorization.
  • Submit proof of Lawful Presence if you plan to receive in-state tuition. Online-only students and students paying out-of-state tuition are not required to submit this documentation.
